Ah the Pilot Boat. Job's a good 'un! I'm a bit tipsee now after 7 hours in a car (bloody M25) and 1.5 pints of Dorset beer. Yes that's all it's taken. I'm going to read some Robert B Parker now. Good bye.

Sunday lunch in a pub. Does it get much better than that? Well maybe, if lunch is primarily of the liquid variety. I always find this the friendliest pub in Lyme and the beer is always fine too.

About 5:30pm and the crowds were heading back home. The pub was therefore quite quiet. ...then AC/DC's Highway to Hell came on. Might have to stay for another.

Mid evening visit. Came for another pint of Palmers Best. Palmers are very much the "Sheps" of West Dorset but I like them anyway. Pretty empty but staff were very friendly and apparently doing food until 10pm.

Came for an evening meal with Jane. It was very quite. We sat in the main bar area and earwigged on a bunch of old folks having their dinner. I liked the fact that there's no rushing about out of season. In July this would be a mad house.
