Popped in on the way back from a trip to Dymchurch. Lovely garden. The stream at the rear was full of large brown trout.

Visit as part of an EKRCC vintage bus trip to a brewery and 3 pubs. My old sparring partner and benefactor Magwitch (I must arrange his escape sometime) was present with his hobbo Herbert Pocket. My own first visit to this pub. Very friendly and fast serving bar staff.

Our first visit. Arrived at 13.15 on Sunday and found the car park full and cars parked on the roadside. My first thoughts were they must be doing something right but will there be room for us. No sweat. A spacious bar area with attentive staff soon sorted out a drink for us. There is a separate restaurant that was full but we were able to eat from the same menu in the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Farriers Arms - 16063.70ExcellentIn very good nick. A good quaffable bitter.
Farriers Arms - Christmas Ale5.20ExcellentSaid 4.8% on the pump clip. A very complex beer with a good nose. The taste reminded me of Belgium beers with more than a hint of brettanomyces.
Farriers Arms - Harvest Plenty4.20ExcellentA bit more complex than the 1606. Russett coloured with a good mix of malts.
