Afternoon visit and much busier than I expected. A nice friendly atmosphere in here today and I was tempted to stay for another pint but decided to move on and stick to my original plan.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Bella Birra (collaboration with Mezzo Passo)4.20GoodIn very good condition, this beer is described as having hints of red berry, citrus and sweet malt. I am not sure that I got any of that but a most enjoyable and interesting pint anyway.

Newly reopened after a major refurbishment and reverting to its original name. Sheps seem to have done a good job here and the place seemed to be attracting new custom.

My first visit here since Shepherd Neame bought the pub, I have never really liked the place so I had hoped there may have been a few changes, sadly not, at least so far. Just a few in on a Tuesday afternoon, most of the customers in Halloween outfits.

23:00 visit. We came here for more live music, speedy service and better company. All three were good. The rock band stopped at 12:30 but this place stays busy and opens until 2am, which suited us tonite...And after nine days of "activity", including five on Merseyside, I shall have a rest and prepare to get back to work?
