03 Oct 2017 (Magnus Greel)
Final pub of the day, early evening and busy with drinkers who'd been here a while, including listening to one chap's Brexit woes I left the pub filled with despair and wondering how on earth we are going to cope or even survive.
| Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Green Hop 4 | 4.00 | | Very different to the Challenger version, far less pronounced. |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | The scarcity of this beer concerns me. |
22 Sep 2017 (ChrisE)
Afternoon visit. Tasters offered and a full pint served. Not sure once inside whether doing food so I decided to head towards the BahnHof after this pint.
| Exmoor (now brewed by Hogs Back) - Exile Urban Fox | 4.20 | | A bit naughty as you could be mislead in to thinking that Exile is a new brewery, however the info is on the clip. A nice American style Copper coloured IPA. |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Mad Cat - Platinum Blonde (previously Meaney's Platinum Blonde Ale) | 4.20 | Not Tried | |
03 Sep 2017 (Jack William)
Mid afternoon - a number of customers scattered throughout from the tables in front, through the three internal areas and the rather nice walled garden at the back. I sat in the latter and read a Fred Dibnah book I got from the charity shop nearby.
| Rockin Robin - RPA | 3.90 | | The beer itself was good but the presentation poor. I had two pints - neither anywhere near full - even after a request to top up. Was also rather taken aback to see the very lively head being knifed off into a small glass and used to try and top the pint up. Must try harder. |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
18 Feb 2017 (Andrew)
Lots of metalheads and whatever it is goths turned into. I like it. Played some ACDC. Good stuff.
| Musket - Trigger | 3.60 | | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Long Man - Long Blonde | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
21 Jan 2017 (ChrisE)
Afternoon visit with a good atmosphere. We were told that this pub stopped giving CAMRA discount two days ago, however this did not stop us from having a second pint.
| Kent - Session Pale | 3.70 | | A good quaffable pint in excellent condition. |
| Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - AK 1911 | 4.00 | | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
06 Jul 2016 (ChrisE)
A refreshment stop on the way to Canterbury West Staion, quite peaceful at this time of day but it can get busy and noisy later on.
| Musket - Trigger | 3.60 | | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
