Evening. Bank holiday business winding down.

Round Tower - Solo Galaxy4.20ExcellentMoreish dry bitterness. New Chelmsford Brewery for me amusingly and appropriately run by Simon and Hannah Tippler. In fact the brewery was originally called Tippler's but changed its name to Round Tower after legal advice

Last visit of the evening with limited overs cricket on the large screen TVs. Very friendly welcome. At the end of a terrace of little cottage style houses expected a more basic interior and furnishings perhaps

The pub is found in Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1QJ.

May be a tad difficult to find being located at the back of the railway station going down a most delightful road of well kept 2 storey cottage terraced houses. Located in Townfield Street on a corner. As I recall this has been a long time CAMRA favourite but was given a makeover around 2008 / 2009 with new owners who upgraded the furnishings and fittings significantly. Some sports orientation with large screens for football, cricket and no doubt other offerings. 8 handpumps with emphasis on Essex brews. Ceased trading March 2021 with claims of unviability.

We have visited this pub 13 times, seen 37 different beers and tried 10 of them.
