24 Oct 2019 (Stephen Harris)
I've been doing stuff in Hackney Library all day, but break out for a quick one here.
| Five Points - Green Hop Ernest | 3.70 | | Not quite as alarmingly fresh as it was a couple of weeks ago. Still excellent though. |
| Tring - Pale Four | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Pale XX | 5.10 | Not Tried | |
| Beerblefish - 1892 IPA | 6.90 | Not Tried | |
| Pomona Island - Session IPA | 4.50 | Not Tried | |
14 Oct 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Mid-afternoon. So relaxed it's almost horizontal. Two more cask beers available but I forgot to note their names.
| Hobsons - Simcoe Chinook Black IPA (collaboration with Brew By Numbers) | 4.80 | | BIPA revival. |
| Redemption - Big Chief | 5.50 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Tropical Deluxe | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
10 Sep 2019 (Stephen Harris)
An afternoon visit when quiet here.
| Wylam - Galatia | 3.90 | | A golden, hoppy beer with a malty finish. |
| Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Peach Melbear | 4.40 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - House IPA | 6.90 | Not Tried | |
15 Aug 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Some leftover Howling Hops Brewery kegs from the recent London Craft Beer Festival are being drained here tonight.
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Yüki | 9.20 | | From key-keg. A very serious, barrel-aged Imperial Stout. |
| Howling Hops (Former brewery at Cock Tavern) - Threefold | 10.50 | | From key-keg. Brewed on the small kit here at the Cock Tavern. A massive dose of Citra and Simcoe hops in a proper headbanger of a beer. |
| Almasty - New Zealand IPA | 6.00 | | Tasty. |
| Almasty - Vanilla & Coconut IPA | 6.00 | | I did not like this at all. On reflection, there may have been an issue with the cask. |
| Holt's (see also Joseph Holt) - Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Track - Sonoma | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
| DEYA - Put the Kettle On | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
30 Jul 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Late-afternoon lull.

19 Jul 2019 (Stephen Harris)
A brief call.
| DEYA - Put the Kettle On | 5.00 | | A brewery that rarely dabbles with cask beer. This is typical soft fruity murk. |
| Redemption - Big Chief | 5.50 | Not Tried | |
| Bristol Beer Factory - Fortitude | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Pale XX | 5.10 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Tropical Deluxe | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
| Almasty - Dark Fruit Pale | 4.50 | Not Tried | |
05 Jul 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Friday evening drinks with friends.
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Breakdown | 6.20 | | From keg dispense and very palatable. |
| Almasty - DDH Amarillo Waimea | 4.00 | | Possibly a murk too far for me. |
| Five Points - Railway Porter | 4.80 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Pale XX | 5.10 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Tropical Deluxe | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
| Five Points - Best Fuggles Hops | 4.10 | Not Tried | |
20 Jun 2019 (Stephen Harris)
It's another Cloudwater Brewery night here, to coincide with the pub's monthly cheese night. In contrast to a couple of weeks ago, Cloudwater have this time sent only keykeg beers.
| Cloudwater - Bellini Slushie | 8.00 | | An extraordinary beer (at an extraordinary price). Strong, dry from champagne yeast, and oozing with peaches. |
| Cloudwater - Bourbon BA Kentucky Common | 8.20 | | An incredibly complex beer. Pale and murky, woody and dry. |
| Wiper and True - Kaleidoscope | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Pale XX | 5.10 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Tropical Deluxe | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
| Howling Hops (Brewed at Hackney Wick) - Pudding Ale | 4.80 | Not Tried | |
10 Jun 2019 (Stephen Harris)
Quiet in the late afternoon. Five subtly different cask Bitters from Cloudwater Brewery are available.
| Cloudwater - Yellow Self Optimisation in the Digital Age | 5.00 | | High quality Best Bitter with the mellowness of Fuggles hops. |
| Cloudwater - Green Self Optimisation in the Digital Age | 5.00 | | Best Bitter brewed with Endeavour hops. The slightly sharper taste makes this one my preference of the two I tried. |
03 Jun 2019 (Stephen Harris)
