Lunchtime visit. An increasing number in the restaurant where we had a tasty meal. Pleasant service. Since there is a another Sheps pub in the village the Landlord managed to negotiate a non traditional pub sign to promote individuality.

Sadly we left it to the last weekend of the current landlords tenure to sample the delights of their Sunday lunch menu. As suggested to us by the people who recommended it, we booked and the place was packed, as is apparently usual on a Sunday. The meal was as good as we had been led to believe it would be and the service was good and friendly.

Traditional pre Xmas wonder around Wye. I rather like the new owners of this pub. Good, friendly and beer appeared to be in good nick. Had a bottle of the Shep Christmas 2007 beer here too.

What a nice pub this is. The landlady's very friendly and the decor very relaxed and stylish. Here on stop 2 of the Chrismas eve Wye crawl with Ian and Martin.

The landlord came and changed the TV from Ceefax on the cricket to the Masters Golf.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70AcceptableLacked the hop bite on the end that Sheps beers normally have.

A few people were in the front bar. I've been in the pub numerous times over the years and I find it interesting that alternate landlords convert the back room to a restaurant only for the next one to open it up to drinkers again. Anyway, this is a pleasant pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70GoodSome interesting malt with mottled goldings. Not as vibrant as it can be.
