I went to the opening evening of this pub which has been some time in the refurbishment. Unsurprisingly it was heaving with people, probably like me, looking to see what was on offer.

Late afternoon and more staff than customers. I've not been drinking in Wye for over 10 years and on my last visit this was a proper boozer and I was expecting to be disappointed however I liked what they've done here, a crackling centrally located log fire, soft background music and subdued lighting made for a pleasant atmosphere. Bizarre as it sounds I'd expect to find a pub like this in suburban SW London not in a sleepy Kent village.
| Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | | Spot on condition most enjoyable. |
| Shepherd Neame - Spitfire Gold (or Spitfire Golden Ale) | 4.10 | Not Tried | |

Friday evening, very much a food orientated place now.
| Shepherd Neame - Late Red | 4.50 | | This year's brew seems to be very good. This pint was well served. |

Lunchtime visit as the BA was closed.
More a wine bar or coffee shop than a pub. Nice decor but I was not impressed at £2.15 for half a pint of locallly brewed, average beer.
Sheps still I believe - but doing their utmost to hide the fact. Sorry but you're just not my type luv.
| Shepherd Neame - Late Red | 4.50 | | Clear but harsh on the palate. |
| Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | Not Tried | |

About 6:15pm. I had tried the Barbers Arms which is supposed to open at 6pm but there was no sign of life so I came here earlier than I had originally planned. My pint was filled right to the brim with a meniscus which impressed me until I noticed that everybody else was getting pints with about half an inch of head. Had they received a telephone call form the previous pub I wondered? The chef's home made dog biscuits looked really appetising, there must be some lucky hounds around here.
| Shepherd Neame - Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition | 4.50 | | |
| Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | Not Tried | |

So this is where everyone one in Wye was. It was rammed but we got a seat at the rear side by the fire.
| Shepherd Neame - Rudolph's Reward | 3.70 | | Hint of spice in a master brew beer? |
| Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | Not Tried | |
