We arived about 6.30pm and it was all but empty. Within 30 minutes it was nearly full. Most people were in to eat but a few were sitting around the bar having an after work drink.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodStrong earthy bite but a bit too much marmite on the finish. This might have been bottom of the barrel as large bits of sediment were floating at the bottom of the class. It was good anyway
Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale)4.20GoodBig caramel flavour that overpowered the usually dominant hops. If it had a touch more complexity I'd give it a 4 as it was it's a 3.5.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%)3.40Not Tried
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10Not Tried

Got there about 9pm and it was packed with a large party of people from Thanet who'd all come down on a night out. The service was friendly and the pub had a good atmosphere to it.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodA bit too cold but it had that sweet yeasty malt flavour I associate with Harvey's. As it warmed up a very malty bitterness came out on the finish.
