Lunchtime cycle meet. We were allowed a table in the restaurant as it was unoccupied- all tables in the two bars laid up for eating. Just the one beer on.

Lunchtime. Cycle venue - I checked the night before that the pub was open - it was, but every table booked for lunch. Sat at the bar for a swift one but no room for 12 of us so we sat in the garden and had a rather good session.

Back for a Potterers cycling meet. After a dry ride there we sat under cover while the hailstorm passed and got rather cold despite the outdoor heaters.

Lunchtime - bit of a landmark for me - brings up my 700th different pub on this site - and I was here to officially join the Potterers cycling club. The club is a group of East Kent cyclists who ride independently to pre-arranged pub venues up to three times a week. Seem like a nice bunch of like-minded people. We sat in the sunshine in the garden. A few punters in the pub - had a welcoming feel to it despite the COVID restrictions.

Lunchtime visit, a warm greeting as I entered the door and I chatted with a couple of locals at the bar. I decided to eat here and stay for a second pint.

Arrived about 12:30 and a few people were in. 4 hand pumps, 3 empty and 1 with Doombar turned around. The pub was a little chilly I thought but thr staff were friendly and efficient.

Monday lunch time, and diners were starting to arrive. I had a look at some of the old photographs of Worth that adorn the walls of this pub.

Fancied a bite to eat. Busy as "Steak Night". Friendly and a nice pub.

Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00AcceptableTasted like Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter not too unsurprisingly. Missed a bit of zing but still quite drinkable.

We arived about 6.30pm and it was all but empty. Within 30 minutes it was nearly full. Most people were in to eat but a few were sitting around the bar having an after work drink.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodStrong earthy bite but a bit too much marmite on the finish. This might have been bottom of the barrel as large bits of sediment were floating at the bottom of the class. It was good anyway
Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale)4.20GoodBig caramel flavour that overpowered the usually dominant hops. If it had a touch more complexity I'd give it a 4 as it was it's a 3.5.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%)3.40Not Tried
