Had the day off so we visited the marsh. Misty day but roasting. Got to the pub at 12:30 and it was already busy with mainly elderly customers and the occasional baby. On the stereo, and just audible over the general murmur, was ACDC's Back in Black. Must come here more often.

Wet and windy was the marsh. Isabel wanted to visit a lighthouse so we took her to the big black and white one at Dungeness and stopped off at the pilot for lunch.

Came for the fish n chips with my parents, Jane and Isabel. I've never been to this pub before even though I've known about it for years and always planned to come her. Anyway, it wasn't too busy and we got a table in the side room which we had all to ourselves.

Although this Inn has changed hands in the last year the fish menu was as good as ever. Arriving just after mid-day there were already a number there and this increased during our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Went for a meal with friends and enjoyed the great fish and chip meals - they even managed to steam the cod for one of my friends who had a wheat allergy. The service was good and friendly and the place was quite full, as usual.
