Ah, the pub of a thousand policemens! A great improvement on what it was like in the late seventies.Very busy on a mild but windy February Saturday lunchtime. We'd walked the Spike Milligan trail to Winchelsea and contemplated bilateralism.

We arrived not long after noon and several tables were occupied. They do not take bookings, so if you are early you get a choice of table. Attentive staff who deliver the drinks to table. Inventive food menu which based on local produce and well prepared.
