Brief evening visit. Met the Welsh wizard musician of The Harp here - first time seen since Covid-19 lockdowns.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moor - Resonance4.10AcceptableHazy murk, slightly warmish, drank without noticing and a repeat order was right off my menu

16 Apr 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until a relaxed post close departure.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Anspach & Hobday - The London ESB5.50GoodBeer board showed at 5%. Dark brown toffee-ish
Kernel (The Kernel) - Pale Ale - Citra Mandarina Bavaria5.10GoodMy first ever Kernel on cask. A balanced mixed hopping with no in your face citrus. Some haze. Felt experimental
Fyne - Jarl3.80Not Tried
19 Mar 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close. Very busy so pity it closed at 11pm.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentOnce again the gravity served Harvey's Best here is in excellent form - beating other local handpumped supply venues into a cocked hat
Five Points - Pale4.40Not Tried
12 Feb 2022 (Philip Pirrip)

BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Made North3.80GoodOddly cooler than the other cask ale in the same chilled cabinet!
Koomor (contract brewed at Iron Pier) - Petal4.80AcceptableGood taste but poured with no head and had little or no natural carbonation or condition
15 Jan 2022 (Philip Pirrip)
Fast bus journey got me here with reasonable time for two late pints until close.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentAlways rare on gravity. Best I have had for a while, probably since last visit here
Wylam - Gold4.00Not TriedSeems to getting around locally quite a bit at the moment
20 Dec 2021 (Philip Pirrip)
Late afternoon visit after local chores.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentTempted back by Saturday's pints. Still excellent
Kent - Pale4.00Not Tried
18 Dec 2021 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until close. First for yonks and so good to see the cheery team and not too many changes to swallow.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentBest I have had for a long time, does gravity dispense work a magic. But why was the 3rd consecutive pint from same cask that much cooler and better balanced than 1 and 2? Hey ho for cask
Kent - Pale4.00Not Tried
02 Oct 2021 (Philip Pirrip)
11.15pm and faced with new 11pm closing time. Used to be a good bet for a midnight close but no longer.

The pub is found in Eltham, Greater London, SE9 5PR.

In Court Yard just off the High Street the former Crown pub has been part transformed following a wider development of the entire premises. A small bar, along the lines of the micropub style, which opened in April 2018 selling cask ales and ciders / perries served on gravity dispense from a cooled small walk-in cellar room behind the bar counter and with 18 keg beer taps on the back wall too. Seating is at trestle style tables and low chairs. The original ground floor pub frontage has been retained. Card payment only, no cash accepted.

We have visited this pub 94 times, seen 147 different beers and tried 80 of them.
