Anspach & Hobday - The Golden Bitter4.00ExcellentBest condition ale of the evening
25 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close. No way the hordes as per yesterday.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Drop Project - Verve4.20ExcellentServed as a trial as two halves, one with a sparkler, one without. Clearly not intended for sparkler dispense!
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00AcceptableWhat a difference a day can make. 4.5* yesterday but nearing end of cask this had developed in a rather caramelly taste which although not unpleasant was not right
24 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening until close, yes until close this time. Slowly filled to be well crowded and noisy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00Excellent4½* Harvey's Best showing of all its very best attributes. Perhaps not surprising as I believe one of the co-owners here used to manage the cellar at Cask, Pimlico
Drop Project - Verve4.20Not Tried

Most enjoyable first visit though the 0030 close time, that I did not avail of tonight, is a tempter in itself, being every night of the week. The background Django Reinhardt music enticed me to look him up and play some of his work at home next day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentPerhaps one of the best condition Harvey's Bests I have had of late
Drop Project - Verve4.20ExcellentA murky ale fresh on handpump here today. A taster had enticed me to try a pint. A balanced beer with no harsh hop notes
