After midnight early morning visit until close.
Kernel (The Kernel) - Table Beer (Talus & Azacca) | 3.30 | | Amazing, been on 5 days yet even with such low ABV still excellent |

02 Aug 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
After midnight early morning visit until close. Good footfall still in.
Kernel (The Kernel) - Table Beer (Talus & Azacca) | 3.30 | | For a 3.3% ale so tasty and superb head, lacing and mouth feel. A joy to drink |
Anspach & Hobday - The Golden Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
29 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
After midnight early morning visit until close.
Anspach & Hobday - The Golden Bitter | 4.00 | | Best condition ale of the evening |
25 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening visit until close. No way the hordes as per yesterday.
Drop Project - Verve | 4.20 | | Served as a trial as two halves, one with a sparkler, one without. Clearly not intended for sparkler dispense! |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | What a difference a day can make. 4.5* yesterday but nearing end of cask this had developed in a rather caramelly taste which although not unpleasant was not right |
24 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
Late evening until close, yes until close this time. Slowly filled to be well crowded and noisy.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | 4½* Harvey's Best showing of all its very best attributes. Perhaps not surprising as I believe one of the co-owners here used to manage the cellar at Cask, Pimlico |
Drop Project - Verve | 4.20 | Not Tried
23 Jul 2024 (Philip Pirrip)
Most enjoyable first visit though the 0030 close time, that I did not avail of tonight, is a tempter in itself, being every night of the week. The background Django Reinhardt music enticed me to look him up and play some of his work at home next day.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Perhaps one of the best condition Harvey's Bests I have had of late |
Drop Project - Verve | 4.20 | | A murky ale fresh on handpump here today. A taster had enticed me to try a pint. A balanced beer with no harsh hop notes |
