06 Sep 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit - the students may be away but the tabled area was packed.
Blue Bee - Light Blue | 3.60 | | A newish beer from Blue Bee. One of the Blue Bee staff was buying some take homes and we had a good chat about the brewery and some its finest. This beer grew on me with its dry bitter taste |
Exit 33 (formerly The Brew Company then Sky's Edge) - Voodoo Chilli Stout | 4.40 | | Superb unusual flavour mix |
Blue Bee - Nectar Pale | 4.00 | Not Tried

25 Jul 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
1915 hours visit. With students on summer vacation the pub was much quieter than usual and less food trade meant less invasive food smells. The previous day the pub had hosted Blue Bee Brewery's first birthday party so lots of Blue Bee beers in evidence including once offs.
Blue Bee - Listin' To Port | 4.80 | | Absolutely scrumptious. This is the Lustin' For Stout which has been port-infused |
Blue Bee - Sheffield Glitterati Mash-Up | 4.50 | | A once off? for the brewery's first birthday. Excellent smooth bitter |
Blue Bee - Nectar Pale | 4.00 | Not Tried

22 May 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Busy mid evening with number of diners slowly diminishing. Always good to see lined pint glasses in use - should be the norm everywhere.
Blue Bee - Bees Knees Bitter | 4.00 | | Excellent bitter with mid to dark brown hue |
Silver Brewhouse (formerly Raw) - Fletcher! Oat Stout | 5.50 | | Put simply this was just moreish in the way that Oliver might have asked. Pump clip carries silhouette of Porridge characters |
Acorn - Darkness | 4.20 | Not Tried
Great Heck - Stormin Norman (previously Stormin' Norman) | 6.50 | Not Tried
Acorn - Lightness | 3.60 | Not Tried

17 Dec 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Special early opening for the annual beer scoopers crawl of Sheffield.
Blue Bee - Lustin' For Stout | 4.80 | | Quite bitter and roasty but lacking body giving a rather thin, short finish. My score 15/20. |
25 Nov 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Very busy even by 5pm on a Friday evening.
Blue Bee - Techmophobeer | 4.00 | | Black porter style beer with a good malt character balanced by some hop bitterness. The finish is fairly malty. My score 16/20. |
17 Oct 2011 (davidg83)
Lively for drinkers + diners. The slutty rutty butty came recommended.
Blue Bee - Nectar Pale | 4.00 | | Pale hoppy + notes of citrus. Easy drinking but nothing memorable. |
Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Cumberland Ale | 4.00 | Not Tried
Crown - Brooklyn Heights | 5.80 | Not Tried
08 May 2011 (Flying.geordie)
Blue Bee - Red White & Blue | 5.00
19 Feb 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy late on a Saturday afternoon.
Elland - Red and Ruined | 4.80 | | A sweet and malty red ale that doesn't become cloying like some of this type due to a good balance of hops. My score 16/20. |
Great Heck - Achtung Hefeweizen | 4.50 | Not Tried
