There was a band on and it was really busy. They get a really mixed crowd in here. Nice atmosphere.

Very quiet, shame. Really wanted a good atmosphere to end the night on. Oh well.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA4.50GoodHas the usual maltiness and the slightly metallice edge. Not as great as it shud be though. Still a pleasant brew though.

Got here at 8 and there was a fair crowd in. Out for a friends birthday so there was a huge group of us.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30ExcellentSuperb pint of landlord. Creamy and malty with plenty of toffee in there too. Lovely.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90GoodOnce again, I know this beer is good but it is definitely not my cup of tea. I won't try it again.

Got here at around eight and it was fairly quiet. The landlord may just be the friendliest man on earth.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Arrived at about 2pm. It was pretty quiet and all talk was of the water-ski championships that were being held near-by and the fact that the pub had crocodile with mango sauce on the menu board. I've been in this pub before, but years ago in my youth, it has certainly changed - I would argue for the better.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Cocker Hoop (aka September Ale)4.60GoodI was hoping for some Dark Star but this was a pretty good alternative. Golden with white foam head, intensely fruity with citrus and sherbert. A slightly over-sweet finish which stopped it from being a 4.

Had a band on but it was pretty quiet still. Everyone was down at the 'Powerboat' festival at the seafront.
BeerABVScoreNotes

No DJ tonight unfortunately. Only here for about twenty minutes before getting the cab to Marghetto!

Really busy in tonight, great to see. Big group of us pretty much took up the whole of the upstairs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30GoodNot as good as it should be. The normal sweet, fruity malt flavours were there, but there was also a harshness that's not normally.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dr Sunshine's Special Friendly English Wheat Ale4.20GoodReally interesting beer, very fruity. A beer like no other.
Whitstable - East India Pale Ale (or EIPA)4.10AcceptableThis beer seems to have a lot of fans, but I'm really not impressed. I find it overly sweet, very cloying and with a nasty harshness to it. Must be something I'm missing.
