Moorhouse's - Black Cat Mild | 3.40 | | Strong roast malt and chocolate flavours, slightly dry finish. My score 16/20. |
Ilkley - Stout Mary | 4.50 | | Very roasty stout with bitter dark chocolate and coffee flavours and a dry, roasty finish. My score 16/20. |

Bridgewater - Harvest Ale | 4.50 | | Very pale and well balanced ale with sweetish malty character and subtle hoppiness. My score 15/20. |
Fuzzy Duck - Tangerine Duck | 4.40 | | Amber bitter with a bitter orangey citrus twist. Good balance of flavours. My score 15/20. |
Great Heck - Wakefield Trinity | 4.70 | | Quite bitter and malty with quite a heavy presence of crystal/amber malt. Very dry, astringent finish. My score 13/20. |

Northern (see also Blakemere) - Hit & Run | 4.50 | | Pale fruit beer with sweet aromatic fruit dominating a fairly hoppy base beer. Full bodied berry fruit flavour. My score 16/20. |
Rudgate - Olde Honey Stout | 4.00 | | Good roasty stout flavours but little evidence of honey. Good full flavoured stout though. My score 16/20. |

Sharp's - Red Ale | 4.10 | | Sweetish red ale with some maltiness, low bitterness and hoppiness. My score 15/20. |

Mighty Oak - Pumpkin Head | 3.70 | | Hoppy and fruity pale ale with a refreshing finish. My score 15/20. |
Mighty Oak - Bracken | 4.60 | | Darkish red/brown bitter with malty toffee sweetness but balanced with some hoppiness to avoid that cloying taste that some beers of this style have. My score 15/20. |
Northumberland - Uncle Fester | 3.80 | | Pale and rather sharp but with little hop character to speak of. Some background maltiness. My score 14/20. |

Mallinsons - Porker Porter | 4.40 | | Dark brown porter with a good bittersweet mix of toffee malt and bitter hoppiness. Full bodied flavour leading to a dryish finish. My score 16/20. |
Bridgewater - Brown Porter | 4.80 | | Quite bitter with an almost phenolic taste, a little malt but mainly bitter finish. My score 13/20. |
Rugby - Play On | 4.20 | | Reddish/brown bitter with moderate bitterness and some sweetish maltiness. Little hoppiness to speak of. My score 14/20. |
Lincolnshire Craft (formerly Tom Wood's) - Seaside Special | 4.50 | | A rather strange sweet but musty flavour to this with little hop character and a not particularly pleasant aftertaste. My score 9/20. |

Weltons - Dinner In The Dog | 5.10 | | Strong golden bitter with a hoppy, bitter edge, but lacking much balance. My score 13/20. |
Mighty Oak - Barn Dance | 4.10 | | Golden ale with dry hop bitterness and a dryish finish. My score 14/20. |

Adnams - Ghost Ship | 4.50 | | Amber bitter with a fair amount of hopping to give a crisp and quite citrussy flavour. My score 16/20. |
Nethergate (was Nethergate Growler for a while then name reverted) - Orange Wheat | 4.10 | | Not particularly orangey or wheaty, not a lot to write home about. My score 14/20. |
Dawkins - Double Dawkin's | 5.30 | | Quite a bitter and hoppy strong beer with a dryish, hoppy finish. My score 14/20. |

A surreal evening in here as all the furniture had been replaced by trendy designer items as part of Islington Design Week.
Fat Cat - Cougar | 4.70 | | Strong pale ale with a very pleasant smooth, velvety mouthfeel and good balance of sweet malts and citrus hops. My score 16/20. |
Brains - Monty's Magic | 3.70 | | A malty bitter, fairly sweet but with some hop balance. My score 15/20. |
Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - Dorothy's Friend | 3.70 | | A fair bit of fruity hop in this pale bitter with citrus and mango flvours coming through. My score 15/20. |
Shepherd Neame - Hop Festival | 4.50 | | Not too keen on this, rather bitter but more from malt than hops with crystal/amber malt being dominant. My score 13/20. |
