Finally got logged in downstairs as the Cloud doesn't connect upstairs. Oh well means I will spend less time here than I would otherwise which is probably no bad thing.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hawkshead - Lakeland Lager5.00GoodVery drinkable cask lager, some perfumed hop, some lemon, lots of drinkability in the body. Good effort at a style that isn't easy to get right.

1930 Sunday, all is quiet with only one new ale added to recent postings.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Peach Melbear4.40ExcellentAs expected, refreshingly fruity, and perfect for summertime. The ladies should like this one!

Alas, no change from last two days visits. Slow turnover here, allegedly! Straight out.

Swore I would never come back but the ratings for the beer festival have been good here so stopped in for one.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Phoenix - Double Gold5.00AcceptableOK strong golden ale.
Brains - Honest Ale4.50AcceptableGold, slight haze, lasting beige head. Toffee caramel bitter, it's ok if a bit to much on the caramel for me. Some dryness on finish.
07 Apr 2010 (Pedro)
Actually beers here are £1-95 as opposed to £1-89 at Society Rooms. But finished upstairs where I was charged £2-10 when I bought a pint rather than thirds ! Bizarre pricing!

Nothing (festwise) new to tick, so, an old one, Mauldons Silver Adder sampled, and in good condition. This place was "heaving" at 2215 due to student holidays ect?
