Visits Details 13 Sep 2015 (McGargle)
Very busy.
Cromarty - Ghost Town 5.80 Less balanced than on Thursday with a prominent coffeee flavour. Stewart - Edinburgh No. 3 4.30 Well that was a mistake. Nothing wrong with the brew or the serve but I'd forgotten how much I disliked dark malt laden beers; think Youngers No.3. Timothy Taylor - Landlord 4.30 Not Tried Orkney (Sinclair) - Dark Island 4.60 Not Tried Greene King - St Edmund's 4.20 Not Tried six°north - Belgian Pale Ale 4.60 Not Tried

Good beer choice, fast and friendly service.
Cromarty - Ghost Town 5.80 Not many beers make 4*. This was worth it for the depth and subtlety of flavour. Cromarty - Kowabunga 4.60 Bit too cold but flavour packed. Timothy Taylor - Landlord 4.30 Not Tried Stewart - Pentland IPA 4.10 Not Tried six°north - Belgian Pale Ale 4.60 Not Tried

Good to see some interesting beers. Just missed BBF Seven and Firebrick IPA.

12 Jul 2015 (McGargle)
Last day of the folkfestival so a great atmosphere in the pubs and along the harbour wall. Impromptu music sessions to enjoy.

05 Jul 2015 (McGargle)
Pleasant mid evening. Good service.
Fallen - Citra Odyssey 4.10 Pale blonde, lightly hopped and very refreshing.
28 Jun 2015 (McGargle)
Yet another poor cask selection. Multiple CAMRA POTY!
Swannay (formerly Highland) - Muckle IPA 6.60 Little subtlety and no attempt to mask its strength in this West Coast IPA. A welcome departure for Highland, none the less. Keg and £6.20 a pint. Timothy Taylor - Landlord 4.30 Not Tried Inveralmond - Ossian's Ale 4.10 Not Tried Belhaven - Black Scottish Stout 4.20 Not Tried Greene King - Morland Old Hoppy Hen 4.20 Not Tried Why oh why? six°north - Belgian Pale Ale 4.80 Not Tried
