Very busy for a Tuesday evening.
Bradfield - Farmers Belgian Blue | 4.90 | | An excellent full bodied dark red strong bitter. Very fruity, from added berry fruit with a good malt and hop balance. My score 16/20. |
Salamander - Hell's Snowballs | 4.00 | | Pale and hoppy with good citrus hop character and a dryish finish. My score 15/20. |
Toad - Blonde On Blonde | 4.50 | | End of the cask so quite hazy. Some hop bitterness leading to quite a sharp, dry finish. My score 13/20 with B for quality. |
Purple Moose - Isallt 1909 | 4.00 | | A bitter beer with a fairly dry hop taste. My score 14/20. |

Quietest time to visit here: Sunday afternoon, you can get a table, relax and enjoy the beers on offer.
Spire - Dark Side of the Moon | 4.30 | | Ruby red mild with excellent malt flavour and a smooth well rounded character. Just a hint of hop in the finish. My score 16/20. |
Mallinsons - Bells & Whistles | 4.30 | | Golden bitter with good hop character. Citrus flavours present through to the finish. My score 15/20. |
George Wright - Mocne Piwo | 5.10 | | Strong golden bitter, well balanced with good citrus hop flavour. My score 15/20. |
Wentworth - Chilli Stout | 4.50 | | Any stout flavour at the start is rather overwhelmed by quite a hot chilli flavour. Ruins a good stout, not really my thing. Score 13/20. |
Irwell Works - Snow Scuttle | 4.60 | | Fairly unremarkable best bitter, little hop character, some maltiness, but lacking in body - tastes weaker than its strength. My score 13/20. |
Boggart - New Year New Beer | 3.80 | | Golden with a sweetish toffee malt flavour that intensifies to verging on a diacetyl flavour by the finish. Not much in the way of hop. My score 13/20. |

Elland - Greland (Head Brewer's Reserve 2010) | 5.60 | | A robust American style porter with lots of roast malt flavour, some dry hoppiness and a dry, roasty finish. My score 16/20. |
Fyfe - Magnum IPA | 4.50 | | Pale golden bitter with a good hoppy and citrus character and a little malt balance. Dryish, citrus finish. My score 15/20. |

Blue Monkey - Ape Ale | 5.40 | | Strong golden bitter with a strong piney hop flavour. Just a little malt balance. My score 14/20. |
Brewster's - Geisha | 4.80 | | Seems to be single hopped with Sorachi giving a very harsh bitter flavour with virtually no malt balance. Far too bitter and aromatic for me. My score 8/20. |

Yorkshire Dales - Angram Amber | 3.90 | | Amber bitter with quite a bitter hop taste and a dryish finish. My score 14/20. |
Yard of Ale - One Over The Yardarm | 4.50 | | Golden bitter with quite high bitterness and a slightly phenolic taste giving a very dry, bitter finish. My score 13/20. |
