21:00 visit. Woe behold small miracles! Having jetted in from Poland only 24 hours earlier, and who do I see propping up the bar here. Another Gdansk supporter! New cultural experiences are very good, but home will always be where the heart is. And the RV doe's it for me. (And my 1000th P&B hit too)....

20:30 visit. Having been kept "informed" using this site, and noting I've not been in for some time, about time I changed that! Just the usual's at this time, and, apparently, no Stout until September.

Just after 6pm and we stayed for a couple of hours or more. Alan was suffering from bruising after falling backwards down the stairs but was in good spirits. The pub soon filled up with the regular Wednesday evening group and other customers.

Goacher's - Real Mild Ale3.40Acceptable
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale3.70AcceptableSlightly hazy as the cask had only recently been spiled, the beer improved as the evening wore on.

20:30 visit. Quiet start but then it suddenly got a crowd in to keep our host on his toes! Chat with Alan included amusement at my lesser contributions to Alan's pension pot these days? plus, some nostalgia, a picture in this weeks KM of some fire damaged flats, an ex-pub in Sheerness, formerly the Glass House, with some clear signage stating "Flint & Co. Canterbury Ales & Porter". Must have closed a long time ago as I've no listing in my 1988 Kent book.

20:00 visit. First outing this week and a select few in for some decent conversation. We kept the place going to last orders too. Fine Light seemed to be the choice ale tonite. (My Ginger Ale & Tabasco was firery, and very different!).

19:00 visit. First time back here for over a month and a very good crowd in tonite kept mine host on his toes? Some pals and CAMRA/P&b crawlers and a few infidels, in fact, all sorts were in tonite. The Stout looked the big seller with the Fine Light clear runner up.

The pub is found in Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1EU.

In Wyatt Street, one of three Goacher's tied pubs. Décor has not been updated for some time, but that adds to the joy of this quiet pub. Light, Mild and Stout on regularly. If you like Goacher's, then come here. Also, if you like a quiet pub with no airs or graces that serves well crafted beers then this is your place. The long standing licensee of nearly 37 years (Alan) left in late February 2015 bringing a phase of the pub to an end. Pub closed for a week then re-opened under new tenants, Matt and Gina who were themselves replaced by Alex and Polly in February 2018. The 3 original handpumps have now become 4. Secluded rear garden. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2016, CAMRA West Kent Pub of the Year 2016, CAMRA Kent Pub of the Year 2016.

We have visited this pub 597 times, seen 11 different beers and tried them all.
