26 Aug 2014 (McGargle)
Busy with mostly local trade.
| Fallen - Blackhouse | 5.00 | | An interesting smoked porter. A little too sweet for 4*
|
| six°north - Prototype | 4.20 | | Didn't know what to make of this. Cluttered with no focus. |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | |

| six°north - Belgian Pale Ale | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
22 Aug 2014 (McGargle)
Poor Customer Care. Whoever stood next to the barstaff was served first. No one knew or could be bothered to find out who brewed Chraic (5.5%).
| Loch Ness - Light Ness | 3.90 | | In crowded market of golden ales you need to be excellent or different to stand out. This was neither. Competently brewed with a few obligatory American hops. |
| six°north - Belgian Pale Ale | 4.60 | | At its freshest and best this is a 4* beer. This was neither. |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | |
| Windswept - Blonde | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
27 Jul 2014 (McGargle)

20 Jul 2014 (McGargle)
Comfortably busy. Sports fans in a good mood after the golf.
| Siren Craft - White Tips | 4.50 | | Interesting take on a Belgian Wit with US hops. |
13 Jul 2014 (Ray)
Return visit hoping to enjoy Moor Revival. It had gone!
| Magic Rock - Ringmaster | 3.90 | | Well brewed and well kept there's something in the Magis Rock house style which I'm not too keen on. Many other will disagree. |
11 Jul 2014 (Ray)
Not been here for a while but tend to agree with McGargle that service can veer from the gracious to the grudging. Tonight was a bit of both but the guy with the thin beard was excellent.
| Moor - Revival (was 3.8%) | 3.40 | | Refreshing, bitter and hoppy. Just the thing for a summer's evening. |
29 Jun 2014 (McGargle)

26 Jun 2014 (McGargle)
Mid-evening. Fast, friendly service.
| De Ranke - XX Bitter | 6.20 | | Bordering on 5* this keg version was bitter, hoppy and very clean. |
| six°north - Belgian Pale Ale | 4.60 | | |
| Alechemy - Ritual | 4.10 | | An American style pale ale which I found a little sweet. |
22 Jun 2014 (McGargle)
Excellent service from the guy with dreads and the guy from St. Andrews. Others take note: it can be done.
| Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40 | | What a surprise in NE Scotland. Clean, very clean, dry and hoppy but minus the Citra hit I was expecting. |
| Tiny Rebel - Billabong Aussie Pale Ale | 4.60 | | Tasty, hoppy but lacking condition. Disappointing really. |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | |
| Orkney (Sinclair) - Dark Island | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
| six°north - Belgian Pale Ale | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
08 Jun 2014 (McGargle)
Disappointing that some of the staff seemed to prefer gossiping with mates than serving customers.
