Busy footfall for last 30 minutes of serving with a good group of the Friday regulars in, plus more occasional regulars as well.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - The Miller's Ale (originally 4.5%)4.20GoodVery good head and lacing on first being served this Canterbury ruby bitter. A very malty first hit. A good bitterness in the mouthfeel and lingering. A sweetness also from the toffee malts but not overly with a dryness also lingering. A bit of decanting was required on the ones ordered before last bell and some 15 to 30 minutes onwards.
Mighty Oak - Top Hat4.30GoodOne of the smallest of tasters on record for me. It was though enough to have a good swish of this Maldon porter and detect the sweet chocolatey malt in it which persuaded me not to have a half of it afterall.

Very busy footfall for last 40 minutes of serving. At least one table of drinkers I joined was from another local micropub which has recently had to close.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40GoodMy first pint of this was fine with head and lacing on this red bitter from the Ramsgate Brewery, known as Gadds'. It had sweet and fruity notes. A very moreish bitterness lingering and so asked for another. This one was completely murky and so at the end of its barrel and was taken off just to prove it.
Oakham - Davy Jones5.00GoodGood head and lacing still on this amber ale from Peterborough and some 30 minutes after being served. It was very light-coloured to be called an amber. A very dry, hoppy mouthfeel. It had a slight fruitiness lingering in the dryness.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - West Coast IPA5.60GoodGood head and lacing holding well on this Ramsgate IPA as supped some 30 minutes after being served. A very dry first hit followed by a dry, hoppy mouthfeel to die for. Its dryness persisted in the aftertaste and made it very moreish.
New Bristol - Bristol Bitter4.00GoodFresh on and replaced the Gadds' and came with good head and lacing. This Bristol Bitter had a very dry first hit. A very bitter, bitter with the dryness lingering. Nothing sweet about it and contrasted with the toffee in the Gadds' just before.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Blarney Stone 4.30GoodVery good creamy head and lacing on this stout from Ramsgate. A very malty mouthfeel and a dryness lingering.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Blarney Stone 4.30ExcellentAt last a good Gadds' after all! Very good head and lacing on this Ramsgate stout with lots of cream on its top. A very dry first hit. A malty mouthfeel and a dryness lingering. Very moreish and so packed two in.
Cwrw Otley - Zephyr3.80GoodNorth-west of Cardiff, this Pontypridd brewery's golden ale came with good head and lacing. A first hit of being slightly fruity. A very dry and hoppy mouthfeel which lingered in the aftertaste.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80AcceptableI thought I would be brave and try this Ramsgate pale bitter again after its flatness put me off the night before. It was presented with some head and lacing. It was still slightly flat and not overly flavoured in just having a hint of bitterness lingering and the odd maltiness intended to give it some body.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Redemption - Victorian Mild (collaboration with The Kernel)6.00GoodGood head and lacing on being presented with it and after a few decants later on, it was restored. Not overly sweet and not as good as on previous visit the evening before. The odd malty flavouring in it and a bitter finish on this Tottenham mild made with the help of The Kernel in Bermondsey.
Mighty Oak - New Year Beer4.00GoodGood head and lacing on this Essex golden ale from Maldon. A very fruity first hit. A malty and hoppy mouthfeel. Somewhat overly fruited for my liking with a bitterness lingering.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80AcceptableMinimal head and lacing on this Ramsgate pale bitter and yet fresh on today. Not much conditioning and minimal flavours apart from a lightly malty and bitter aftertaste. One sufficed. Very unusual not to have a good Gadds' experience.

Redemption - Victorian Mild (collaboration with The Kernel)6.00ExcellentI was warned off this on my previous visit by a fellow punter but had a taster out of curiosity then and did not dislike. This time around I was ready to try a half. This Tottenham mild was very potent at 6% and made jointly with Bermondsey-based The Kernel Brewery. The first hit was actually very dry and whereas I described it from my earlier visit as strange. Certainly lightly fruity and enjoyed the chocolate, coffee and sweet sherry flavours, as in the tasting notes, immensely. Could easily have done another half or more as very moreish but also full of Tonbridge's Old Chestnut.
Tonbridge - Old Chestnut4.40GoodThird night on and still good head and lacing. That's the way to make good beer and from this East Peckham-based brewery, north-east of Tonbridge itself. A powerful malty first hit persisting. A superbly bitter mouthfeel with no sweetness involved despite the mention of dark fruit and honey in the finish. Just a dry, moreish finish for me I am pleased to add!

BeerABVScoreNotes
Tonbridge - Old Chestnut4.40GoodVery good head and lacing on its second night on, on this East Peckham-based Kent bitter. A very malty first hit. A bitter but malty mouthfeel and not too sweet despite having a dark fruit and honey finish. Just the odd decant towards the end restored all the frothy head that it started with.
Redemption - Victorian Mild (collaboration with The Kernel)6.00GoodJust went for a taster as was otherwise sticking to the bitter. Some head and lacing on this Tottenham-based mild made jointly with Bermondsey-based The Kernel Brewery. A strange first hit and not overly sweet despite chocolate, coffee and sweet sherry flavourings lingering.
