A cold but bright Sunday afternoon. There was too much mist out to sea to see France but my phone switch to the "Orange F" anyway.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Badger (Hall & Woodhouse) - King & Barnes Sussex3.50AcceptableBadged as the 'Coastguard' house beer and reporting to be Hall and Woodhouse this was a pleasant brown bitter with a slightly nutty taste.
Burtonwood - Oxford Blue3.70AcceptableLight bitter not one for a session. Slightly sharp tasting

A windy and wet day outside but warm and friendly in the pub. It was a busy lunchtime session.

The pub is found in St Margaret's at Cliffe, Kent, CT15 6DY.

The Green Man was an ancient building which was all but destroyed during WWII by friendly fire and commandoes' training. Rebuilt in the early 1950s, sited at the foot of a steep hairpin bend road, this building may not look like much, but the setting (on a beautiful bay) and the beer inside make it a wonderful stop especially in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the view over the sea and up to the white chalk cliffs. Taken over by Shepherd Neame some time during early 2016 then closed for immediate refurbishment and reopened around Easter 2016. Renamed in 1971.

We have visited this pub 23 times, seen 47 different beers and tried 28 of them.
