Busy early evening. Excellent beer choice as usual.
Tiny Rebel - Urban IPA | 5.50 | | Another excellent hop forward IPA. Good body for its abv. Keg. |
six°north - Hop Classic (keg) | 6.60 | | Much cloudier than early versions. Suspect the suspension is muffling the flavour. |
Lagunitas - IPA (keg) | 6.20 | | Well structured but restrained US IPA. |

Busy. Predominantly young crowd. 28 taps in use with a mix of Belgian favourites and craft keg. 3 handpumps seemed to be ignored by customers.
Tempest - Brave New World (keg) | 7.00 | | Classy IPA. Great hop presnce supported by a deep malt. |
Summer Wine (SWB) - Devil Loves Chinook (keg) | 7.20 | | Well brewed but somehow Chinook doesn't work too well as a single hop. |

Great atmosphere helped by some old blues on CD.
Arbor Ales - Limelight | 4.50 | | A lightly hopped ale flavoured with lime. Seemed more like a brewer's whim than a viable beer. Maybe we just needed some hot weather. |

Busy and busier as the evening went on.
Cromarty - Hit The Lip | 3.80 | | Lacking flavour which is a surprise for a Cromarty beer. Keg. |

Quiet. Food was good but the bread in the Trencher could have been fresher. Although cask ales were on all the beers chosen were from the keg and probably better for it.
Tempest - Double Cresta (keg) | 8.20 | | Smooth, rounded, choclate, roasted grain and nuts. Top quality Imperial Stout which was not hurt by kegging. |
Arbor Ales / Bristol Beer Factory Collaboration - La Trippale | 8.50 | | Interesting combination of New World hopping and Belgian yeast. A Transpacific Tripplel. Enjoyed from the keg. |
Wild Beer Co. - Fresh | 5.50 | | Another night this would have been 4* but not in comparison to the Trippale. A stronger pale ale. Well crafted but no signature difference to many other similar beers. From keg. |
Arbor Ales - Transpacific | 4.50 | | This should have been another hoppy pale ale but was muted and essentially dull. Keg. |

If the product's right customers will buy it. Late at night this place jammed and even early evening it's comfortably busy.
Tiny Rebel - The Full Nelson | 4.80 | | Top quality new wave brewing. Bursting with New World hops underpinned by solid malts. All the better for being served cool and crisp (on keg). |
Cromarty - Atlantic Drift (keg) | 3.50 | Not Tried
Tempest - Double Cresta (keg) | 8.20 | Not Tried | Imperial stout just too strong for early evening. |

Deservedly picking up a solid following it was busy mid-evening. Service was informed, friendly and fast. Too many (27) beers on tap to list them all.
Looking foward to De Ranke XX Bitter coming on.
Cromarty - Atlantic Drift (keg) | 3.50 | | Almost 5* perfection. Cool, sharp, refreshing an hoppy. Well suited to kegging and properly served without being over-chilled or over-carbonated. |
Fyne - Sublime Stout | 6.80 | | More choclatey than I remember it seemed a little ill defined and lacking the roasty flavours. Served too warm - could have dragged this down to 2* really. |
Brewfist - Czech Norris (keg) | 6.70 | | Described as an Imperial Pils this was really a bit confused. Was it a strong but lightly hopped pale ale or a beefed up pils? Probably the latter. Could have done with higher carbonation. |
Swannay (formerly Highland) - Island Hopping | 3.90 | Not Tried
Cromarty - Hit The Lip | 3.80 | Not Tried
six°north - Prototype | 4.20 | Not Tried
six°north - Four Saisons | 6.00 | Not Tried

Agreeably busy. Fast, friendly service. (Also tried St. Bernadus Trippel)
Summer Wine (SWB) - Pacer - Craft | 4.10 | | Well crafted keg pale ale. Plenty for the hop head without demanding bitterness. |
Tempest - Brave New World (keg) | 7.00 | | Oustanding IPA. Big new world hops balanced by a smooth malt. Excellent in keg. |
six°north - Beyond the Pale (keg) | 4.20 | | Absolutley shone a pale yellow but lacking a little bitterness and bite. Understandably for a new brewery there is still a degree on inconsistensy in the product. |
