Monday lunchtime, I had a good chat with the owners who gave me details about the beers that they will be brewing once their brewing kit becomes fully operational. The first brew will be a Best Bitter, hopefully in October, followed by a Orange Pale Ale and a Mild.

The pub is found in Smeeth, Kent, TN25 6SX.

Pub / café and (planned but never rose beyond trial brews - Sunshine Brewery) micro-brewery situated in Evegate Business Park close to the former Smeeth Halt railway station. Expanded in size into next door premises some time after opening. Not a Micropub due to enhanced food offering and recorded music often played. Simple good value sandwiches are a speciality and some hot food offering. Local businesses make great use of the food delivery service at lunchtimes. Real ales sold on gravity dispense with cold ice pack cooling left on top of casks. Early test brews of the Sunshine Brewery took taken in January 2015. Outside seating at the front. Changed hands and re-opened in September 2016. CAMRA local branch Pub of the Year 2024.

We have visited this pub 21 times, seen 32 different beers and tried 22 of them.
