20:30 visit. Really wanted to get a visit/drink in this place. Bad timing, with an orderley queue, like a chip shop, from the bar to the entrance! Offski...

I like this rambling old pub and its nice to have a pub like this in town where the clientele is made up of young ale drinkers into heavy rock music it's the sort of pub that you would find in Camden. The music playing was particulary impressive ranging from Deep purple and Saxon to Nightwish and Slayer and the ale was in fine form too. I got talking to the young barman and he was telling me how he use to be a lager drinker but is now a fully fledged ale drinker and his enthusiasm was great to see :)
