Good crowd listening to fab tunes. 3 gadds beers on. Prices aren't silly as Mr Pirrip thinks but at £3.75 offer good value to hard working regulars.

3 ales on...Dogbolter put on especially for us. Loads of food. Dogbolter pulled porter sandwiches. Hot chilli's. Fantastic day till after midnight. Why. Lynne and me got married! I should have invited you all.

CAMRA AGM. 12 am start and 3 gadds on. Off to Gadds Green hop festival after agm at the brewery. On till at least 5pm. Wonderful spread at the Lion and a lift to Gadds from Mrs Damien.

3 gadds on but ones black pearl at 3.75. Miles cheaper than any other pub around here selling pearl. Boss over moon about gbg selection and even more so about the iron maiden logo for this rockers pub. Pouring rain.

3 gadds available all at £3.75. Took a while to get served. Big crowd were watching footie earlier and were quite exuberant despite the women losing.

Busy corner pub right in the centre of town in King Street. Attracts a mostly alternative crowd and there will often be heavy rock music on the jukebox. Several large TV screens for sport enthusiasts. There is a raised area to the rear. 3 handpumps on the lower bar counter. Deservedly awarded a CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry for 2021.
