Two visits here today, one which was quiet early doors on a Friday morning then one on the way back from Worcester BF that was very busy at 6pm.
Summer Wine (SWB) - Polestar | 4.20 | | Hoppy pale beer with good citrus flavour. The finish is dry and citrussy. My score 15/20. |
Wye Valley - Flower Power | 4.40 | | Very pale bitter with elderflower giving a floral aroma and a slightly sharp fruity taste. My score 14/20. |

Busy on a Sunday afternoon as Aston Villa were playing their last game of the season.
Burton Bridge - XL Mild | 4.00 | | Dark brown mild with toffee maltiness and low hopping. My score 16/20. |
Bewdley - Willliam Mucklow's Dark Mild | 6.00 | | Full bodied chestnut coloured strong mild. Sticky toffee mouthfeel and a slightly vineous, fruity finish. My score 16/20. |
WharfeBank - Maypole Mild | 3.60 | | Sweetish dark brown mild with biscuity malt and a slightly tangy finish. My score 15/20. |

A rare quiet session in here on a Sunday afternoon with plenty of room for all to sit and enjoy the beer.
Slater's - Monkey Magic | 3.40 | | Fresh on so in excellent condition. Ruby/black in colour with a full flavoured dark chocolate maltiness. A little hop in the finish for balance. My score 16/20. |
Woodlands - Mild | 3.50 | | Dark brown mild with low hop rate and some toasty and chocolate malt. The finish is quite bitter. My score 15/20. |
York (now brewed by and at Black Sheep) - Willamette | 4.00 | | Pale bitter with a fruity hop character. Quite bitter and with little malt evident. My score 15/20. |

Very busy with football fans before a late afternoon kick off at Aston Villa.
Salopian - Black Ops Imperial Stout | 7.50 | | Excellent full bodied strong stout. Lots of roast, coffee and chocolate malt flavours and also a good hop character as well to give a full flavoured and well balanced beer. My score 17/20. |
White Rose (Sheffield) - Ice Maiden | 4.20 | | Good hop character to this pale bitter. Some citrus in the finish. My score 15/20. |
Coastal - Golden Sands | 5.80 | | Very bitter from a spicy hop flavour that is not to my taste. No maltiness to speak of. My score 11/20. |

Bob's (brand produced at Partners) - Yakima Pale Ale | 4.50 | | Very pale and very hoppy with good citrus notes. Full flavoured with a good malty base as well. Clean, hoppy finish. My score 17/20. |

Hot foot from the back door of the Old Joint Stock, just time in this mega ale emporium for one last ale before the train south. Very busy at 1900 but still on top form with 15 ales on.

Windsor Castle (see also Sadler's entry) - Sadler's Magic Miles | 6.00 | | Another take on the strong dark ruby mild style, this one has a good malty character and a little dry hoppiness in the finish. My score 15/20. |

A rare quiet moment in the Welly on a Sunday lunchtime.
Malvern Hills - Roget | 3.50 | | Fantastic brown mild with everything you want from a mild. No hop flavours to get in the way of excellent sweet biscuity and grainy malt which lingers in the finish. The best mild so far this year. My score 19/20. |
Bird's - Thunderbird Amber | 3.80 | | Pale golden ale with a mainly malty flavour but also some citrus hoppiness for balance. My score 16/20. |
Black Country - Pig on the Wall Mild | 4.30 | | Ruby strong mild, this sample had rather too much bitterness and just a hint of fruit and malt. My score 14/20. |

Rhymney - Dark | 4.00 | | Excellent black mild with lots of sweetish chocolate, coffee and roast malt flavours. Dry roast finish. My score 16/20. |
Creative - Creation | 4.40 | | The first brew from a brand new brewery based in Bromsgrove. A traditoonal English premium bitter with good balance of malt and hop. My score 15/20. |
