I hadn’t been in here since the old days when I used to use it on occasion as a waiting room for the overnight ferry to Ostend. Quiet in the afternoon.

Just made it in before the poor barmaid rang for time. Had a swifty before venturing into the chaos that is the town centre. Won't rate the beer I had as the badge said it was dark star revelation but it clearly wasn't the right beer.

5pm on a Friday and absolutely packed, it was good to a see a pub this busy. I had a chat with one of Eddie Gadd's brewers before walking up the hill to the Conqueror for it's 5.30 opening.

Pretty quiet really but still had some of the usual characters. Jukebox has definitely gone downhill, where's the Led Zeppelin!!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goddards - Winter Warmer5.20ExcellentSurprisingly delicious!
Canterbury Brewers - Foundry Torpedo4.50ExcellentYup exactly what I've come to expect, very hoppy and exceedingly drinkable.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Rye Pale Ale4.00GoodA tad sweet perhaps, good beer though.

Just after lunchtime. Fairly busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid3.70Acceptable

Only 2 others in which is odd for a Saturday afternoon. Beer line-up was pretty uninspired and subsequently we only stayed for the one. There's much better options than this in Ramsgate these days.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Elgood's - Indian Summer4.80AcceptableTasted tired and thin yet the barmaid assured me it was fresh on yesterday, can only mean they're not keeping it right.
Triple fff - Alton's Pride3.80Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried
Loddon - Gravesend Shrimpers Bitter4.10Not Tried
Wantsum - Ravening Wolf5.90Not TriedA friend had it and it wasn't in great condition.

Rarely seem to get to Ramsgate these days so it's always nice to get back to the old local. Usual crowd in, perhaps slightly depleted due to the event at The Monty.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 35.00ExcellentPerfect pint of 3.
