Comfortable inside with outside drinking still possible on a warm September evening.
WharfeBank - Black Tom | 4.40 | | Dark brown full flavoured mild with very low hop rate. A strong berry fruitiness giving quite a sweet flavour to the beer. The finish is sweet and fruity. My score 17/20. |

Ever more elaborate crowd control measures are being introduced here to regulate the large evening gatherings. But our little group managed to find a level of comfort in the back bar area.
Sunny Republic - Hop Dog | 5.50 | | A strong pale ale, heavily flavoured with South Pacific hop varieties. Bitter finish. |
Pictish - Stellar | 4.20 | | Pale beer with fierce hop taste – I assume using Stella hops from Australia. |

Naylor's - Summer Ale | 4.00 | | Middle of the road pale ale. |

Quantock - Ginger Cockney | 4.00 | | Amber beer with a bitter hop character and a hint of ginger in the finish. My score 14/20. |

Quiet enough to get a seat inside.

Golden Duck - Nosey Parker | 5.00 | | Seemed to be partially fermented with little hop or malt character but a rather musty, appley fruitiness. My score 11/20. |
08 Aug 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Olfactory overload led to a relocation here from the Rake. Typically very busy, but as is often the case at this time of year, the vast majority were outside, allowing for relatively comfortable drinking in the back bar.
Wilson Potter - Bon Don Doon | 4.20 | | A well-balanced, pale beer with good Perle and Columbus hop character. |
Yorkshire Dales - Dicky Edge | 4.20 | | A dark brown, smooth beer with a roast barley edge and a low hop rate. |

Plenty of room inside as everyone is outside on a warm evening.
