Uncomfortably busy (nowhere to put your beer down and make notes, 3 deep at the bar etc etc and upstairs room booked for a function) around 6.30pm on a Thurday evening so I left after a swift half even though there were more beers I would have liked to have tried.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mallinsons - Hopsack Citra4.20ExcellentExtra Citra-ussy version packed full of juicy fruit and citrus flavours. My score 16/20.
24 Sep 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Very busy downstairs in the bar area but found a table upstairs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mallinsons - Triple Nelson4.00GoodPale and hoppy with at guess, Nelson Sauvin hops. Certainly the characteristic tart gooseberry and citrus flavours. Lingering fruity finish. My score 15/20.
Binghams - Bee (Honey Beer)5.00AcceptableAmber strong bitter, supposedly with honey added, but the strong piney hop flavour all but drowns it out. My score 13/20.

Here for a birthday on a Saturday night, but got here mid afternoon. This is now my favourite pub in London. Has all the advantages of the beer selection from the Cask Pub & Kitchen whilst being that bit more central and has Tom Cadden as manager, who is one of the best cellarmen in the country. Cask beers are always in tip top condition.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fyne - Avalanche4.50ExcellentBrilliant beer. In terms of flavour profile I can't think of many that beat this.
Fyne - Jarl3.80ExcellentMany people prefered this to the Avalanche. Other opinions are available. still a hugely good beer though.
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)4.70Not Tried
Fyne - Vital Spark4.40Not Tried
Fyne - Highlander4.80Not Tried
Dark Star - Sunburst4.80Not Tried

Fairly quiet on a Saturday morning.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Magic Rock - Dark Arts6.00ExcellentStrong black porter with a strong bitter and malty flavour with some hoppiness. Some berry fruit in the finish. My score 16/20.

Late Thursday evening visit and very busy. Found as a stranger had to wait a while to get served.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Bristol Beer Factory - Stout4.00Excellent
Five Towns - Solstice5.50Excellent

The good thing about this pub is that it opens at 11am on a Saturday in what was a pub desert in this area on a Saturday morning. So we kicked off a London crawl with a select few before noon.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Five Towns - Summer Ale4.00ExcellentVery hoppy and bitter pale beer. There is however a good full bodied depth of flavour from citrus hop and a fruity dinish. My score 16/20.
Fyne - Fiddler's Gold4.50ExcellentVery pale bitter with a full bodied bittersweet flavour. Fairly retrained hop character with a refreshing fruity finish. My score 16/20.
