Early Saturday evening. Blackboard advertises the normal beer line up of Bombadier, Greene King IPA, Fullers London Pride and Shepherd Neame Master Brew. However, they had Hobgoblin on from Wychwood for the run up to Halloween instead of the GK IPA. Some people just in for a drink, some people ordering food. A nice enough pub and I will come back to see what the London Pride is like.
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin) | 4.50 | | Initially I thought the malts were a little disengaged from the rest of the pint, but the aroma was quite good with dry malt and fruit. Malts are ok in mouth, bit perfumed even. Fine. |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version) | 4.30 | Not Tried
