Fairly busy in the restaurant area and quite crowded with those seated round the bar at our lunchtime visit. We had a pleasant meal and friendly service. They continue to boast five real ale pumps.

Friday evening, the garden was very busy so I was expecting the bar to be fairly quiet, I was wrong it was busy inside as well. Service and welcome was excellent as usual.

Lovely low ceilinged old pub in The Street, in a pretty part of Willesborough, not far from William Harvey Hospital. Central dark wood bar serves large single room. Large fireplace to one side. Original wood beams add character. Quirky split level garden at rear. Cosy pub with 5 handpumps.
