Saturday lunchtime. I was hoping to get the Caveman beer, but it had already sold out. I sat in the yard at the back drinking thirds (thirds !!!! brilliant idea) and enjoying the sunshine.

"The night conceals the world but reveals the universe" Oops! Sorry ive been overcome by all the ales........
BeerABVScoreNotes
Canterbury Brewers - Street Light Porter5.80ExceptionalWow!! A great beer from this brew pub from Canterbury, a very complex porter with stunning malt notes.. ohh yeah!!!!
Canterbury Brewers - Loco IPA3.90ExceptionalI agree with "Kentish ale" here a wonderful IPA with amazing depth for a beer of this strength.....
Dartford Wobbler (re-named from Millis) - Dartford Wobbler4.30ExcellentA new ale for me and very nice it was to..
Goacher's - Silver Star4.20GoodI've not been a huge fan of this brew from the Tovil brewery but I was impressed today by this example.

18:30 visit. Left work early to have a good session here, and not disappointed either. Well done to Pedro for listing all the ales. Nine available on the pumps in the main bar with the rest out the back on stillage. Another top beer selection by landlord Dave with the festival aptly titled, a Celebration of Kentish Ale!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Leviathan6.00ExceptionalFrom the handpumps on the main bar. A rarely seen LocAle big un'. Very nice too.
Canterbury Brewers - Street Light Porter5.80ExceptionalA top ale from the Foundry. Sampled this one twice over. "A dark, malty porter with strong toffee-chocolates and a licorice finish. Hops: Goldings and Floral Willemette".
Canterbury Brewers - Loco IPA3.90Exceptional"A super hoppy American style IPA, with a depth of flavour beyond its ABV". It sure was! Think BrewDog or a big Triple IPA from the U.S. Returned for more of this. Beer of the festival for me.
Canterbury Brewers - Kobold5.00ExceptionalKobold Black Lager. "Cask conditioned and unpasteurised keg. This black lager mixes continental heritage with adventurous new world spirit. This is a flavourful beer style with a fine balance of smooth and dark malts and crisp hop finish". Another top ale from the Foundry.
Dartford Wobbler (re-named from Millis) - Dartford Wobbler4.30ExcellentFrom the handpumps. Another rare bird around these parts. Good to sample this one again.
Canterbury Brewers - Foundry Torpedo4.50ExcellentAnother top Foundry ale. Very refreshing.
Hop Fuzz - The English4.00ExcellentAnother LocAle winner.
Rockin Robin - Mildly Rockin3.70ExcellentAnother fine example of this popular type from Robin, who was, by now, "mildy rockin"? A top man. "A dark ruby coloured ale brewed with a blend of Fuggles and Golding Hops which deliver a beautiful rounded bitterness, with a fine hoppy bouquet".
Hop Fuzz - Goldsmith4.00ExcellentVery refreshing.
Rockin Robin - Reliant Robin (superseded by 3.7% version)4.20ExcellentRobin is being adventurous with his ales and it shows too. Very nice. "An Auburn coloured Best Bitter; it's richness is delivered from four malts, East Kent Golding give traditional notes on the palate and a fresh spicy finish".
Hop Fuzz - Chocolatier4.20GoodNot too overpowering but still good.
