Busy on a lovely warm and pleasant afternoon, larger than the average Micropub thus coped well with our arrival. We sat in the back parlour.

Evening until 9pm close. Had a good chat with the Guv who was previously a partner in the Firkin Frog in Station Road. I liked the feel of the place and he has learned from many of the shortcomings of the Firkin Frog. My only plea, please display full name of brewery, full beer name as per pumpclip, abv and price on your menu blackboard and preferably blue tack a pumpclip too as omitting the brewery name makes selection more difficult. Just as I was leaving the Goodys arrived and eschewed their own brew for a try at the Gadds'

Micropub style pub opened in former Mac's Music Store in High Street (eastern end), its name is derived from the proprietor's surname. Opened Friday 29th July 2016. Low tables and chairs at the front with a corner bar counter. Cask ales and ciders are served on gravity dispense from a small temperature controlled cellar room behind the bar. The stillage is on 2 tiers, each holding 4 casks. There is further seating down one step towards the rear and at the very back is storage for a rump musical instruments sales business which remains on the premises from its Mac's days. There is a small stage with piano by the front window.
