Good mix of people in and quite lively. Excellent pub to come to for a quiet pint and a bit of a natter. Met up with SilkTork and Chrissie to discuss beer styles and had a pint of Light, Mild and then finished with the Imperial Stout. A good night out
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goacher's - Real Mild Ale3.40ExcellentJust watching it being poored and then settling with a thick creamy ivory coloured head made me salivate. Good mild with plenty of hop and roasted malts.
Goacher's - Crown Imperial Stout4.50ExcellentThe daddy. Burnt roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some smokiness, some bacon. Rich in mouth and then long finish with some tar and liquorice along with the previous flavours.
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale3.70GoodRefreshing easy drinking light bitter. Lacked some of its trademark marmelade flavour, but still very nice

Fairly quiet Friday lunch time with Ian. I did enjoy watching the clouds float by outside and the way the light hit the hop etchings on the window in front of me.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale3.70ExceptionalLoverly and light. Hoppy with an orange flavour to it. It reminded me of being at primary school - don't ask me why.
Goacher's - Crown Imperial Stout4.50ExceptionalWow. I loved the burnt malt/tar flavours in this stout. Usually this is a very good plain stout but it had obviously developed a bit and had tar though out
Goacher's - Real Mild Ale3.40AcceptableQuiet hoppy with nice burnt malt but slightly acidic too.
