Didn't really like this bar-achingly trendy and eye wateringly expensive-£3.90 for a pint of too cold beer.Had a wide selection of "craft" beers from Meantime on keg-why do they do this???
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew Wharf - Field of Dreams4.60AcceptableI like fields, and I like dreams, but this didn't equate to either-too cold for the "hybrid American/English malt and hops" to shine through. After I'd nursed it in my hot and sticky hands for a few minutes, it did begin to become quite interesting, but by then it was too late. Sorry.

Found all the missing people here watching the football.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew Wharf - Goldfish Bowl3.80GoodGolden ale with very good hop character with lots of citrus flavours but not much malt balance. Dry, citrus hop finish. My score 15/20.

Brew Wharf - Hoptimum5.20ExcellentSuperbly brewed hoppy pale strong bitter. Full bodied and full of fruity hop flavours which linger in the finish. My score 17/20.

Phil Lowry of Beermerchants.com and Steve from the Ramsgate brewery have been brewing here and they announced that their first beer would be released at 18.00. So a bunch of us came for the beer and some food and to chat about the beer and the brew kit. So thanks to Phil for letting us come.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew Wharf - Hoptimum5.20GoodGold coloured beer with a bubbly white head. Attractive aroma of hops, citrus, pink grapefruit. The mouthfeel was hit by it being just a bit too cold, but properly conditioned, this would be a very drinkable 5.2% APA. More tasty American citrus hops on the finish. I liked it.

Brew Wharf - Sly Pumpkin Pale Ale6.00AcceptableRather uninspiring fairly fruity golden beer with a dry finish. My score 13/20.

Empty as I was the first customer.

My first visit here. Pleasant, impressive surroundings. Good range of keg dispensed lagers and beers. A couple of cask ales if you're lucky. And if you're super lucky you may even get to try one of their own brewed beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew Wharf - Amarillo4.00AcceptableOne of my favourite hop varieties. However, this was rather flat and a bit of a let down.
Hanlons (formerly O'Hanlon's) - Gold Blade4.00PoorPoor. Buttery, flat and tired.

Very busy with diners on a late Saturday afternoon.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brew Wharf - Amarillo4.00ExcellentExpecting this to be pale but it was actually almost chestnut coloured. Big hop aroma and then juicy, fruity hop taste right through to the finish. Price reduced by 20% with CAMRA card. My score 16/20.

Opened late September 2005 in between Vinopolis and Borough Market. Accessed from the street via an archway and a courtyard. Large lower ground bar with largish eating area under high vaulted brick ceilings. Feel of a large modern bar. Lots of exposed brick and also seating area out the front opposite the market. Serves Meantime Brewery keg beers from Greenwich and also brewed its own beers for a while. Range of world beers too. May be offering CAMRA card holders a discount so do ask. Real ales sold through 2 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 93 times, seen 98 different beers and tried 90 of them.
