Second and last stop on our wander of Canterbury. This pub is just a lovely place to be, if they stepped up their beer range then they'd easily be the best pub in canterbury in my opinion. Good eclectic crowd and friendly staff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ringwood - Razorback3.80GoodI've always liked Ringwood beers, they're simple yet effective. Good best bitter.
Whitstable - Cockle Warmer4.70AcceptableNot a fan of this brewery and not really a fan of this beer. Dark malty bitter, strange afteratste. Meh.

Decent number of people in. Really just came to pick up a couple of bottles of the Hopdaemon Green Daemon for a beer tasting.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider4.30AcceptableLacked a bit of condition, but the biscuity malt shone through.

Last stop on the crawl and probably the best place too. Pub quiz was on. The Hopdaemon Green Daemon in bottle was the beer of the day. Stunning hops and really so drinkable in the mouth.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Just had time for one before my train went up to Sturry to go to the Butcher’s Arms. Good mix of locals and a couple of tourists, which is odd to find them this far out of the centre.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - East India Pale Ale (or EIPA)4.10GoodA decent blond ale, with a good hoppy finish.

Session beer heaven at this pub this evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80GoodThat is such a good session beer. Good malts, hop sting, some fruit. Lovely. Good condition. Even out of my face, I could tell that this was a good beer. Really drew me up short.

Wanted a game of bar billiards aso stopped here before our train back. I really like this place but I do wish they'd be a bit more adventurous with their ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA4.50AcceptableNot a great pint of this. Quite sharp and not very well rounded. Disappointing really.

It was pretty miserable outside, so nice to get inside. Unfortunately the billiards was taken the whole time we were here. One of my favourite pubs in canterbury.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Ringwood - Razorback3.80GoodSweet and malty, surprisdingly good. I remembered it being more bland.

I initially went to the Eight Bells around the corner but it was inexplicably shut, so I came here. I found a seat to the side and just stared into space. The barman seemed to be from Yorkshire and I noticed that he didn’t crack a smile the whole time I was there. All in all I enjoyed my brief visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ringwood - Razorback3.80ExcellentExactly what I wanted. Hint of toffee apple, hint of stawberry, good red fruit. Very drinkable best bitter.

Fair few in with a good locals atmosphere. Played a fair few games of bar billiards while we waited for the train.
