---|---|---|---|
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | This is a perfectly acceptable bitter, just not very exciting. Looks fine, tastes fine (some hop, some caramel, some bitterness on the finish) and is drinkable without being tremendously interesting. | |
Greene King - Abbot | 5.00 | Did not have its usual malty flavours | |
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | Not Tried | Tried Martin and Andrew's pints, but did not live up to my memories of this beer |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | Had a sip of Andrew's. OK, but not at its best. At least the Greene King IPA was as good as it should have been, so I stayed with that rather than drink below par Landlord or Incubus |
Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | Bit of a harsh bite to what's usually an excellent beer | |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Ian said he could drink this all night. Umm. It was okay but nothing to write home about | |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Unremarkable to the point I can't actually remember having it. | |
Greene King - Abbot | 5.00 | Not Tried |
Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | This always has a soapy creaminess about it that I find somewhat off-putting but the hops and low level malt was good. | |

The pub is found in Wye, Kent, TN25 5EB.
Once called the Victoria this is a large detached pub on the banks of the River Stour near Wye railway station. The garden runs down to the river and is very busy in the summer. Lots of tables for food consumption. 4 handpumps on the bar counter.
We have visited this pub 93 times, seen 72 different beers and tried 52 of them.
