Popped my head in (literally because you can no longer easily see the hand pulls from the window) to see what they had on. Only one real ale on, but a huge chrome lager run stretched across the left hand bar. I moved on swiftly.

After a long session in Ashford for Ian's birthday I came here on my way home. It was quiet and I sat where the bench seating once was, missing its presence.

Afternoon visit - all very well, organised, easy to book a table via their website. Prompt, courteous service. Sunny but very cold. One of the other punters asked us how we were enjoying our Reykjavik experience. Such fun.

The beer festival that wasn't.

Late lunchtime - the car park was full - we had to park about 1/4 mile away. Busy in the garden and the river! Reasonable service inside despite my fears.
Goose Island - Goose Island IPA | 5.90 | | On keg but rather good. |
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Trout Pout (house beer) | 3.90 | | Shame - this came out nicely cool and with, what appeared a good head. Flat and slightly whiffy within a few minutes. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried

22 Feb 2018 (Magnus Greel)
1655hrs and thirsty after my trek from The Flying Horse. Fairly quiet with a few locals chatting around the bar area. My last visit here 10+ years ago Hopdaemon beers ruled the roost.
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Burnaps Beard | 3.80 | | This shouldn't have touched the sides but I found myself nursing this down. Not in good condition at all for this nutty ruby ale. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | It would've been rude to plump for this over the local beer. |

Thought we would try Sunday lunch here as my recent liquid visits have been very pleasant. Quite busy but not crowded - but poorly staffed. Food was good and good value - but service was dismal unfortunately. Only 2 ales on today.
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Burnaps Beard | 3.80 | | Not at its best. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried

Early afternoon - a good few eaters plus a chap at the bar who doesn’t like micro pubs (he was drinking lager).
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - Slap and Tickled | 3.60 | | A very nice ruby ale in good condition. |
