29 Aug 2009 (Martin the Mildman)
Beer festival here with 20 jacket cooled ales in the rear courtyard. Hog roast and live music added to the occasion. Best of the 4 pub festivals I visited on this day.
York (now brewed at Black Sheep) - Centurion's Ghost Ale5.40ExcellentA complex strong dark beer, like a strong mild with toffee malt flavours and a little hoppiness. Full bodied and rich tasting. My score 16/20.
White - Brighton Rocks4.00ExcellentA sweet and malty beer with a little hop balance. My score 16/20.
