About 11:30 am and time for a pint whilst walking from the railway station to the Beer Hall. Fairly quiet at this time of day but still enough customers to keep the staff occupied. I sat by the bay window and noticed that this pub boasts two Bisset Automatic Dart Scorers, however I think the pillar in front of the dart board would put me off the game.
Barngates - Goodhew's Dry Stout4.30GoodDark and Dry, very nice indeed.

I have never been here before, but I just followed everyone else when I alighted from the train. It seemed that everyone was going to the Beer Hall via the Eagle and Child. A good crowd of people all supping the ales. There was also a keg lager from Hawkshead Brewery available.
Ulverston - Flying Elephants3.70ExcellentGolden and fruity session ale.
Loweswater - Gold4.80Excellent

Friendly welcome and cosy atmosphere tarnished by foul mouthed youths drinking at the bar.
Keswick - Thirst Pitch3.80GoodCopper coloured with complex, well balanced flavours.
Great Corby (formerly Cumberland) - Corby Ale3.80AcceptableServed in good condition and poured a light brown with thin head. Unremarkable in flavour or body. No real hop or malt tastes.
