Busy and brightly lit. One of the people behind the bar knew all about the brewers and gave us the background on the beer we had.

Mid to late-evening visit. Good live music in the main bar. In addition to the beers I have listed, there were two from Wentworth Brewery and four more from Sheffield Brewery.
Fixed Wheel - Smoked Stout | 5.30 | | Creamy, dry, black Stout. Just a hint of smoke. |
Imperial - Christmas Spirit | 6.00 | | Amber-coloured. Obviously strong and warming. Some hop character. |
Blindmans - Bah Humbug! | 4.50 | | Brown and hiding under a big creamy head. Ordinary. |
Sheffield - Christmas Spiced Stout | 4.80 | | A black Stout that is heavily spiced. A bit thin. |

Evening visit after a fine day’s rambling in northern Derbyshire. Quiet on arrival, but plenty of folks coming in for the 9pm quiz. I was a little surprised to see beers here from two of London’s smaller micros.

Speyside Craft - Randolph's Leap | 4.90 | | A lager style beer with quite a sweet inital taste before some fruity hop takes over. My score 15/20. |
Three Kings - Boscobel Oak | 4.50 | | Dark ruby bitter with a strong bitter malt flavour combined with some fruity hop in the finish. My score 15/20. |
S43 (formerly Sonnet 43) - Brown Ale | 4.70 | | Red coloured nut brown ale unfortunately with a dry appley flavour that isn't true to style. My score 9/20. |
