The pub is found in Charing Cross, Central London, WC2N 5PH.

In Craven Passage virtually underneath Charing Cross main line railway station it is unusual in being on two sides of the street with the cellar linking the two sides below. On the north side is a medium sized Victorian pub whilst across the way the snug bars and alcoves of the smaller pub. The main bar has long narrow mirrors all along one wall with an L shaped counter with 7 handpumps in banks of 3 and 4. The smaller bar has various alcoves and niches and has 4 handpumps. Named after Admiral of the Fleet Sir Cloudesley Shovell.

We have visited this pub 19 times, seen 19 different beers and tried 11 of them.
