We were travelling back from Nottingham and decided to come here for lunch. The Good Beer Guide said it had a brewery attached, a children's menu and a play park - so something for everyone! However, after getting stuck in a massive traffic jam in Stamford we arrived late and the kitchen's capacity was fully booked - so no food. Walking up to the bar all I could see were major regionals. Turned out the brewery had closed a few months ago. The pub was nice and the staff efficient and friendly but all in all it was a disappointing visit.

Welcoming public bar. We'd planned to eat, but hadn't booked (I refuse to book in a pub), and weren't able to wait, so we moved on elsewhere in the Soke of Peterborough. The home of Ufford Ales
