Very much a traditional boozer with a good atmosphere. I was particularly pleased to see that this pub is still using metered electric pumps (the push button variety) and oversize glasses to ensure that the customer gets a full pint. I may have stayed longer if it was not for the fact that they were playing Mary's Boy Child by Boney M in April.

A proper wet led pub, there were several people playing dominoes, and good conversation all round. This is now the only Taylor's pub retaining metered electric pumps. Ham or beef sandwiches were available priced at £1 each.

It was 10:30am on a Saturday morning. I was attracted by the signs advertising the cheapest Taylor's in town, Cask Marque, sandwiches for £1, it had been in the same family for 30 years, and it was open. I just had to go in. The decor is very 1970s, the place was quite busy with locals reading the newspapers, or popping in for a pint on the way home from Morrisons.
