Early evening - myself and a work colleague nearly doubled the numbers - but pleasant enough.
My 300th pub on the site.

Condition was fine - but this really didn't have much taste or body.

A handfull of people in. This was the first time I'd been in a pub since the smoaking ban came in. Weird. Jane (who never liked smokey pubs) said the lack of smoke reduced the atmosphere. Anyway, this is a good pub.

Lovely village pub with many small drinking areas. Cream walls and dark wood feature with a red floral carpet. Early evening and there was a smattering of locals and tourists. Would come here again.

Copper colour with lasting off white head. Malty, earthy hop aroma, bit of butter or cream. Tastes of reasonably strong alcohol and then biting hop finish which is good. Very drinkable.

The rear garden was full so we sat in the non-smoking area inside - which was quiet, cool and empty. This is a loverly pub.

Golden yellow with a soft feel in the mouth. Smelt of orange and grass and tasted of summer meadows and oranges. The finish was of bitter resinous hops.

What a lovely pub this is. It was early afternoon and when we arrived only 1 other person was in, playing darts. Soon the no-smoking room we were in gained a few more people. Shame this wasn't as busy as the 2 pubs at the sea front because it's a gem

Pale yellow light beer with a very hoppy flowery taste. Brief but intense hoppy finish. I could have drunk this all night
In the main village in Upper Street, about 5 minutes walk from the sea this lovely pub is on the steep main street. It has a public bar in which to play darts and 3 rooms (2 of which are used for dining) making up the saloon bar. The décor consists of jet black panels and cream yellow walls. There is a garden to the rear with hops growing along the wall.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 5 of them.
