Sunday lunchtime.
This is a gem - the only brew-pub in the New Forest. A Wadworths house but with its own micro-brewery supplying about 75% of the real ale according to the very enthusiastic landlord (he gave e a brief impromptu tour of the brewery).
The pub is very large and was busy but very friendly and relaxed nonetheless.

13:30 visit. my old local when camping in the field next door many years ago :)

| Wadworth - 6X | 4.10 | | Not had this for yonks! Like Doombar today or landlord was a few years back 6x use to be everywhere! Not so today and its a shame as its a very good best bitter bursting with the most typical of Wadworths key notes i.e very oak heavy. Lovely :) |

We were driving back from Lyme Regis and this pub is about half way. It takes a bit of finding and you have to look out for ponies on the road up to it. The pub itself is a cavernous affair with plenty of seating inside and out. The kit for the Red Shoot Brewery can be found by the front door. The staff were friendly and efficient.

| Red Shoot Inn - Forest Gold | 3.80 |  | Pale gold colour with a real manure/stilton aroma to it. Very low hopping as far as I could tell and that manure smell was in the taste too. Not unpleasant just a bit odd. |
