I had not been here before and was very impressed, undoubtedly a pub to return to.

Another lovely late summer early evening and an after-work walk along the Thames culminating with a pint in here. I counted five different drinking areas on the ground floor to choose between, plus the rear garden. My first time in here since the reintroduction of cask beer.

I was the first one in on a Saturday lunchtime, but it soon got reasonably busy. Almost the full range of Sam Smith's beers on keg or in bottle. Shared a table in the front main room with a retired Scotsman who recited some poetry to me. I liked it here and could have stayed for a few more. Also had the Taddy Porter in a bottle which was excellent. They had on their range of lagers too.

The pub is found in Bermondsey, Central London, SE1 2LN.
Atmospheric pub in the shadow of Tower Bridge. Two bars serve 2 of the many rooms. Dominated by dark wood and Victorian fittings. For a while all beer was on keg or in bottle but cask ale has since been reintroduced. Well worth going to for ambience and surroundings. Was at one time the brewery tap for Courage's Horsleydown Brewery.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
